Nikon has announced three initial Nikkor Z lenses: the 24-70mm f/4 S, 35mm f/1.8 S, and 50mm f/1.8 S.

Novoflex has been making high-quality lens adapters for many years, and now they have a new range for users of the Canon EOS R and Nikon Z cameras. With both the EOS R and Nikon Z featuring new mounts, there is a very big need for high-quality adapters so you can use existing glass that you already own.

In 2014, the Spearfish City Council accepted an $85,000 design proposal from W.W. Wheeler and Associates for replacement project for the engineering services to analyze, design, and assist with specifications of the replacement project, and following the completion of the design phase, in August, the council approved a $60,000 proposal from Wheeler for engineering construction observation and administration services for the project, which began in August.

Is there a reason they couldnt just copy sigmas style of mirrorless camera and just a normal flange built in and then there would be no need for an adapter and lenses would match up just fine

Plumbing materials, including pipes, new brass faucets, fittings, and valves, including those advertised as “lead-free,” may also contribute lead to drinking water. The law currently allows pipes, fittings, and fixtures with up to 0.25 percent weighted average of lead to be identified as “lead-free.”

Designers of industrial hydraulic systems now have this option with the Lectric Drive, offered by Regal Beloit’s Durst Div., Florence, Ky. Unlike conventional boxes for industrial applications, the Lectric Drive does not require an adapter flange and shaft coupling to mate the C-face flange of the pump to that of the motor. Instead, the Lectric connects directly to Regal Beloit’s Marathon brand motors. This convenient setup not only saves space and weight but eliminates the number of components and reduces assembly time.

However, it’s not necessarily a full-frame sensor, which harkens back to the size of a frame of 35mm film. It could be a new, larger-size Four Thirds sensor that would encompass full-frame so you could use those lenses with an adapter using some kind of multiaspect mode.

I guess that does change things, but don’t these things get reverse engineered by third party lens manufacturers? Has anybody heard from Sigma about the new lens mounts on Canon and Nikon?

Canon EF lenses are built for SLRs that have a flange distance of 44mm. That’s the distance between the lens mounting flange (metal ring) of the camera body and the film on which the image is formed. The flange focal distance determines whether a lens from one system can be mounted to a camera body of another system using an adaptor.
