Nothing else is known about the camera at this point, not even the final name. Yongnuo has opened the naming up to the public, with a competition currently being hosted on its Facebook page. The company will reveal the final name of the snapper in January 2019, and we hope we’ll get more information on pricing and availability then.

You’d imagine the likes of Sony and Fujifilm and Olympus etc are already researching and designing upgrades for their next release. So if Canon couldn’t give me an irresistible reason to remain loyal (such as full integration of legacy lenses), then I’d be heavily tempted to go to a system that already has 1,000s of users and advocates and proof of worth, rather than hope that Canon’s first iteration was a blinding success (albeit potentially without use of my legacy lenses).

Interesting viewpoint. From my perspective the end result is the be all end all. Unless a camera is ergonomically ridiculous to use in my hands, I’m sure I can adapt my feel for it. In saying that, I’m only 5’7 and 63kg so size for my fingers doesn’t really matter, but I know its a massive issue for bigger people with bigger hands and fingers.

A new lens mount is going to be a headache as I won’t be able to use RF lenses on EF bodies and I’m looking to replace my 16-35mmL.

This would not only help in scaling the business but also help improve margins because of the value-added products. “We are gradually moving in products such as fittings, taps and other water dispensing products, which typically could have margins in the range of 20-50% as against the tradition pipes, which are sold on kilogram basis,” Jain said.

It’s such a weird turnaround to like 10 years ago, back then, the GOOD lenses were native and the third party were mostly OK lenses, now the ART lenses are better than many native lenses.
