Yes it is lighter than the 5D but to be honest weight was never my biggest concern. It’s the lenses that have most weight when I travel.

I’m curious how many people excited by this camera have shot FF video for moving subjects? To me, FF is a bad decision for 85% of shoots that would be using a mirrorless for video, it’s a step backwards to the 5D MKII “everything out of focus except one eye” aesthetic of 10 year ago.

If you want to bring the battery up to speed, you’ve got to lose the size perk conferred by mirrorless.

Canon’s starting off with a camera that’s cannibalizing its full-frame DSLR best-seller, the 5D Mark IV.
