Using these flange adaptors allowed Moore to restrain pipes easily and at lower cost. Instead of using mechanical joint couplings, size-specific sections of pipe and restraint rodding, Moore was able to use Hymax Grip flange adaptors, with their wide transition capability, to get the job done with fewer staff. Workers spent less time in the ditch to help minimize safety risks. The ductile iron couplings were durable and featured dynamic deflection to reduce the risk of damage and cracking due to ground shifts and temperature changes. 

A granulated activated carbon (GAC) filtration system needed to be installed for one of the wells. One of the water mains would need to be detoured into the GAC filter and then rerouted back to the water main. The new piping would be restrained, however, and standard methods of restraint for this kind of project would be time-consuming and costly with pipe rodding reinforcement. Depending on the adapter you use, you might not be able to use automatic focus or auto aperture with your current lenses. Alex, I think there’s an argument to be made that one doesn’t need to be a great artist to effectively review new equipment. In fact, a review by professional reviewer may actually have some advantages over that of a professional photographer. For instance, a professional reviewer isn’t as likely to be brand-loyal and is likely to be more objective than a professional photographer, who might be predisposed to give a favorable review of the brands they have already invested thousands of dollars into. Understanding the equipment – and how it compares to its competition – is more important to an informed review than the ability to make the best photographs.

Competition is great for us consumers. I cannot wait to see what Panasonic have brought to the table. I used the GH4 and loved it except for the low light ability. I anticipate that the new cameras will be a big hit. I currently shoot on Sony A7s but if Panasonic blows Sony out of the water, I just might switch.
