I prefer a clear distinction between APSC and full frame lenses line up. EF-M and EF-R will replace EF-S and EF, and it is ok if they are not compatible. No need to have full frame or medium format to be so called professional as long as you deliver quality images. Now Canon, please release lightweight L series for EF-M and a M camera with a bigger battery and a bigger grip (same remark for Sony, but with a fully articulated screen)

One way to guarantee the quality of material is to choose well-known brands with standardised certificates (BS EN, ASTM or DIN standards). These stamps ensure consistent production with high manufacturing standards, using the best quality raw materials, most advanced machines, premium quality compounds and industry-leading green building technology.

Depending on the adapter you use, you might not be able to use automatic focus or auto aperture with your current lenses. Naturally, the adapters that couple legacy DSLR lenses with mirrorless systems most effectively are at the more expensive end of the market, and don’t always guarantee a perfect transition. Which brings us to our current dilemma.

All we currently know is both cameras are capable of 4k 60p. There is no current indication whether it can record 4:2:2 10-bit internally. We do believe there will be some sort of crop mode available, but whether that allows for the use of APS-C lenses as well as M4/3 remains a mystery.

That probably depends on your needs. I don’t care about mirrorless or a different mount but then, I’m older and more methodical in my photography. None of the benefits of mirrorless apply to me.
