If I am getting the M camera it’s not to grow into the R or the EF system. It’s a small compliment to them so I can have a small camera AND small dedicated lenses like the days of the Pen F. It’s all small and does not need to be adaptable to big lenses . Canon will make a R APSC camera like the 80D or 7D some day perhaps but I like the small light weight M system.

With Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma teaming up, it’s clear that they are serious about trying to get a very strong foothold in the mirrorless camera market. Sony has dominated the mirrorless market for so long, and with Nikon and Canon choosing to go it alone, leveraging the technologies from three companies makes a lot of sense. Is it a case of too little too late? That’s a hard question to answer. As they say, the proof is in the pudding. If these new Panasonic cameras can outperform their competition they may well force current Sony users to switch over.

Coming out with new cameras using the same auto focus technology that has failed and been criticized so much is a bad move. It’s like they are stubborn trying to prove it will work. It’s why we had to move from the gh5 to the a73. Got tired of the auto focus issues when we needed it too work. Just a bummer!
