Sure, you can use Canon’s cheaper EF lenses with a mount adapter, but why buy this mirrorless, then? Unless Canon thinks that the only people who will be buying the camera are those who’ve already invested heavily in Canon gear — which it just turned into a self-fulfilling prophecy.

In that regard, when Canon does its thing, I think it’s not going to be a separate mirrorless lineup, but a replacement of current models. If the rumor is true that Canon is about to announce vIII replacements for some of their current vII lenses, particularly the essential f2.8 70-200 L IS, in the ES mount, that strongly suggests there won’t be any change in that aspect for another decade.

That’s a nice and necessary move for Panasonic. However it start to be messy lenses wise. This is the third new mount system anounced in few weeks! Where to go? Maybe the wize choice would keeping investing in EF and PL mount. What’s Newsshooter.com think about those new mounts?
