Still hoping Sony would implement a shutter close optoin for changing lenses on the A7 / A9 series, this and manual audio for the MI wireless receiver are the only to things really missing for me right now, both software issues.

Coming out with new cameras using the same auto focus technology that has failed and been criticized so much is a bad move. It’s like they are stubborn trying to prove it will work. It’s why we had to move from the gh5 to the a73. Got tired of the auto focus issues when we needed it too work. Just a bummer!

As far as .308 is concerned, I don’t think this would be compatible with AR10. DPMS yes since they just used a standard AR15 reciever extension and cut down tbe buffer, but AR10’s use a longer buffer tube and a heavier 5oz buffer. Guess I’ll shoot an email to the company and see about Armalite adaptability.

The RF mount has more pinouts than the older mounts, and there are a couple of useful mount-adapter add-ons: one for a drop-in filter and one for a control ring. The latter is cleverer than Nikon’s approach. Nikon has added programmable control rings to the lenses in the new system, but Canon’s method can enable control-ring functions such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed and exposure compensation, for all lenses.
