It seems like a matter of when, not if, Canon and Nikon will enter the high-end, full-frame mirrorless market. But will any system they release accommodate legacy lenses?Last week I wrote an article in which a supposed “internal document” from Fujifilm suggested Canon and Nikon will lose 50% of their market share within three years. Naturally, this created a lot of healthy discussion among Fstoppers members and the article has had almost 100 comments to date. Many of the issues brought up in the comments related to mirrorless systems and what will happen if and when Canon and Nikon enter the mirrorless market.
All I’m saying is that forcing manufacturer to focus on lenses per sensor size will force them to offer more good quality lenses
The city worked with Game, Fish, and Parks Department, the D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery and Archives, and the state Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to keep the entities apprised of the project, which has also gotten clearance through FERC, and the city began diverting water away from the tunnel area that takes water to the two original woodstave penstocks on Sept. 27, with the turbines at the hydroelectric plant shut down since the first week of October.

As Crowd Sorcerer says, the whole photographic and video industry is rushing to full frame. Like Lemmings. Because the manufacturers have got to make you constantly want to buy new cameras and lenses mainly to stay in business. Not because it’s better, or an improvement. I walked around CineGear this year and observed the same thing, everyone is all hyped about FF. If you take everyone to mean the manufacturers. But as far as users, meh, gear heads are excited but I don’t see a mass stampede in Television production, for instance, to switch from S35 to FF.
To recap, full-frame sensors are signficantly larger than the Four Thirds sensors in Panasonic and Olympus cameras, with a 3:2 aspect ratio compared to the smaller’s 4:3. Note that the Four Thirds sensor size is distinct from the Micro Four Thirds mount (despite how I labeled the graphic below).
When the camera focuses the image ON the sensor, how could the adapter make ANY difference in getting a sharp picture? I think the adapter would have to be VERY poorly manufactured to have any effect… Hard to imagine.

The market for plastic pipes and fittings in India is in its growth stage, growing at double digit CAGR during FY’2013 – FY’2018. The market is expected to grow at a positive double digit CAGR during FY’2019 – FY’2026.
Nikon said in July 2017 that it was actively building a camera that would “raise the bar,” and the company followed up in September 2017 by saying that it must go full frame if it was to be competitive in the mirrorless market. Patents filed by Nikon for full frame lenses emerged around the same time.
