Nikon’s upcoming full frame mirrorless camera may not be compatible with F-mount lenses without the use of an additional adapter. A new report suggests that the company has developed a new “Z-mount” for its professional full frame mirrorless system. During CES 2018 in Las Vegas last week, Nikon Rumors heard the interesting rumor that Nikon will introduce a new Z-mount with an external diameter of 49mm and a flange focal distance of 16mm.

The real question as well is whether the benefits of mirrorless are THAT beneficial. To date, I just can’t see it. I mean, if you stand 10 pro photog landscape/portrait/whatever pics taken by a variety of DSLRs and mirrorless systems next to each other, to the naked eye do you think most people will be able to instantly recognize the mirrorless shots? I highly doubt it…….

By mounting a hydraulic or pneumatic clutch between each pump, the Lectric Drive also provides a compact and convenient way of providing alternating or standby pump operation. For example, each time pump power is needed, a control could engage one clutch and disengage the other. Therefore, the life of both pumps could be extended because they would both operate a half the normal duty cycle. As a pump standby system, it would allow removing one pump for service or repair while the other continues to run the system. Of course, appropriate safety precautions should be strictly followed whenever working on any hydraulic, mechanical or electric system.

However, if the pattern holds it looks like getting anything before November 29th will be a long shot.

The announcement comes after the city switched its water source from the Detroit system to the Flint River in April 2014 and failed to treat the river water with corrosion-control chemicals based on advice from state water regulators. It seems like a matter of when, not if, Canon and Nikon will enter the high-end, full-frame mirrorless market. But will any system they release accommodate legacy lenses?Last week I wrote an article in which a supposed “internal document” from Fujifilm suggested Canon and Nikon will lose 50% of their market share within three years. Naturally, this created a lot of healthy discussion among Fstoppers members and the article has had almost 100 comments to date. Many of the issues brought up in the comments related to mirrorless systems and what will happen if and when Canon and Nikon enter the mirrorless market.
