Nikon has revealed its lens roadmap for the Z Series over the next few years. After the three lenses launching this year, Nikon is planning to release six lenses in 2019: the 58mm f/0.95, a 20mm f/1.8, an 85mm f/1.8, a 24-70mm f/2.8, a 70-200mm f/2.8, and a 14-30mm f/4. Then there are three lenses scheduled for 2020: a 50mm f/1.2, a 24mm f/1.8, and a 14-24mm f/2.8.

Panasonic in some ways has backed themselves into a corner by sticking with M4/3 for so long. Yes, it allowed them to make cheaper cameras and lenses and also enable 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording, but now your existing user base has to buy a new camera body and lenses and spend significantly more money.

It’s a notable development for a couple of reasons. The different sensor aspect ratios require different lens mounts for one. Micro Four Thirds, helmed by Olympus and Panasonic, is a licensable lens standard, compared to the proprietary mounts from Nikon, Canon and Sony. So it’s possible that any full-frame mount might be open as well. 

I hope that CaNikon releasing mirorless FF will make many people selling their gear at the same time so I can have all I need at a cheaper price than usual.

When the camera focuses the image ON the sensor, how could the adapter make ANY difference in getting a sharp picture? I think the adapter would have to be VERY poorly manufactured to have any effect… Hard to imagine.
