this is completely false. In addition to locking out user’s upgrade path, there are plenty of reasons to use a full frame sensor on a cropped body. You’re effectively using the best part of the lens, so any image and falloff issues around the edges aren’t a problem. You’re also using the area of the lens with the most resolving power: just look at most MTF charts. It is no wonder that some of the most popular lens choices for the 7D and D500 are precisely full frame glass.

Canon isnt licensing the EOS R mount so no go for 3rd party companies or camera manufacturers that have used the EF mount in the past.

Is there a reason they couldnt just copy sigmas style of mirrorless camera and just a normal flange built in and then there would be no need for an adapter and lenses would match up just fine

I really can’t believe Canon doesn’t have a more solid Super35/APS-C lens lineup like Fuji has built in just a few short years. If I’m going to shoot on C200/C300/EVA-1 EF-mount cameras, I need a 16-55 f2.8 IS that doesn’t vignette and a 50-135mm f2.8 IS. And a couple of great 1.4 primes.

A granulated activated carbon (GAC) filtration system needed to be installed for one of the wells. You know, I was thinking what would be the ultimate with this new S-Series. With the L-Mount Alliance in place, wouldn’t it have been great if Panasonic pulled off another strategic partnership with, say, Kodak. Kodak may as well, they’re out of the camera game for the most part.
